Quirites news

Salvete Omnes,

Following his appointment at the end of November 2006 as governor of the Nova Roma non-governmental organization (here below « NGO ») province of Gaul, Christophe Puissant (alias P. Memmius Albucius) has reactivated the idea, developed in 2006, to create a non-profit association in France.

The discussions between the most active French citizens (i.e. members), especially with Pierre-Jean Tuloup (L. Rutilius Minervalis) and Jean-Noël Tribolo (S. Apollonius Scipio), helped the initial draft of the organization's bilaws, which were approved and signed on Friday, 26 January 2007 in Caen (Normandy, France).

The NGO thus constituted has been called «Quirites».

Its aim is to "allow the individuals living in France to promote and spread, in the frame of current national and european laws, the knowledge of ancient Roman civilization and the protection of its patrimonial heritage" (Qurites statutes).

Quirites excludes
from this mission any sectarian or political approach and wants to be ready to humbly work for the general public with all the institutions, organizations and concerned partners.

Quirites, which has already developed project and development goals, will be registered in February 2007 in Caen.

Long life to Quirites! Come join us !

Ch. Puissant, chairman
